FAQs - booking Thailand flights

Las Vegas has one international airport, LAS. The airport is located in Paradise which is in the south of Do. From LAS you have the option to land in BKK or DMK. BKK is around 17 miles to the east of Bangkok while DMK is 14 miles to the north of the Democracy Monument. Although DNK is nearer to the city, BKK is the main airport in Thailand. Most long-haul and full-service flights land in BKK.

  • Is there bicycle parking at LAS?

Yes, LAS has bike parking. You can access the facility at Terminal on Level Zero of the parking garage. It is adjacent to the elevators. Terminal 3 has two bike racks that can be found at Level Zero of the parking garage. You can find one of the racks close to the east elevator while the other one is near the west elevator lobby.

  • How do I access the rail link at BKK?

BKK arrivals are on the 2nd floor. Once you arrive, clear your luggage and proceed to the escalator or lift. Go down to B Level which is two floors below arrivals. The signs “Train to the City” are marked and they should lead you to the station. From the airport station, you can connect to the MRT subway at Makkasan Station and the Phayathai Station in Bangkok city center.

  • Does LAS have a business center?

You can access many business services at LAS. At Terminal 3, E gates you can find a UPS Store that offers services such as shipping and printing services. There is a Post Office at level 2 before security and US Postal and FedEx drop boxes can be accessed at Terminal 1's A, B, C, and D gates, and at Terminal 3's E gates.

Top tips for finding cheap flights to Thailand

  • Morning departure is around 3% cheaper than an evening flight, on average*.
  • At Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) you can find metered taxis on the ground floor which is one floor below Arrivals. The taxis pick up passengers from the public taxi stand. You should account for toll fees when budgeting for the taxi. The toll fees depend on the location of your destination.
  • If you choose to use Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) to Thailand, note that there is no railway line connected to the airport. If you were planning to use rail from the airport, consider other services such as taxis. There is a taxi stand at the front of Arrival Halls International & Domestic Passenger Terminals.
  • At BKK remember that reader boards that lead into the airport give real-time parking status. If you find the garage at Terminal closed, you will be redirected to Terminal 3 or Economy Lot.
  • Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is under Nevada state smoking laws. Thus, note that smoking is not allowed unless in designated areas. There are smoking zones at C Gates, Bid 29 Track Lounge, Barney Lounge, and Enclosed Gaming Lounges B, C, and E Gates. You can also find smoking zones outdoors close to ticketing and baggage claim areas.
  • There are currency exchange booths at LAS. From Arrivals, go down using the elevator or lift to the 2nd floor. The booths are close to the Airport Rail Link station.

The flight crews were extremely professional, helpful, and courteous. Departure and arrival times were accurate. No delay. I will use K airline again. Thanks

Great crew, decent food Charging plugs were broken on both seats next to me. Only the USB port was available, and that charges, very, very slowly. Seat was also broken, it would not lock into position when reclining.

Korean Air had great service and the Bibimbap dish was the best airplane food I’ve ever had. It was a long flight so in between the two meals they served customers could get Shin ramen. The flight attendants let my children use a pair of nice headphones for the flight and had earbuds and slippers for all the adults. The flight was long but the time passed by relatively quickly because they have many great shows in their entertainment TV. I watched the BTS Love Yourself and Speak Yourself concerts 💜

not too bad but not too great either. Service on all airlines declined ever since covid. Your Delta Stewardess are not that friendly at all. :-(

You did not put me on a Korean Air flight! so I do not have nothing to say

My flight was diverted to Atlanta and I was not given enough time. I paid my travel on April 23, 2023. It was originally Delta from Norfolk to NY, then Korean Air from NY all the way Philippines which is my final stop. Instead from Atlanta to Korea I flew Delta which is okay. Then Korea to Philippines, I flew Asiana Airlines. What I did not like, Ieagle did not sent me an email that my flight was change and so when I went to check in Wednesday the 10th, at 4:30 a.m they told me my flight was delayed at 6;00 p.m and diverted in Atlanta and I am flying Asiana from Korea to Philippines. I do not appreciate that Kayak or Ieagle chenge our flights 5 times and then last minute change again during my day of flight. I hope that you will not make any changes of my flight o Feb 15th because it has to be the same flight with my husband. That is the reason why we made the arrangements early on.

Wonderful cabin crew!!!!! Food was poor, in flight entertainment was just ok. They need to serve more water on a 15 hour flight--we were dehydrated and kept asking for water.

Going through security a third time to get on the next flight was again utterly ridiculous and unnecessary. We were in a International secure area once again and as far as I'm concerned should not have been put through the gears for absolutely no reason. The United States can get all the information they need from the travel itinerary, there was no need to be forced out of a secure area to personally interview everyone on a connecting flight to find out their US immigration status.

Flight arrived early, fantastic, since it is short flight, no food being served

Always fly with Korean Airlines. Best service great food. Nice and clean as always.

Decent flight, staff was very good, especially with the turbulence during the flight due to weather. Comfort was about par with other airlines but since it was a quick flight, was not much of an issue for us.

The plane was uncomfortable. I paid extra for more legroom but the seat was still uncomfortable. Other seats on the same exact row didn’t have to pay extra but still have extra legroom. I didn’t understand why I needed to pay $170 for. It was Iike China airline just wants to make money off their passengers. It was unfair.

It was a 2 hour flight to Taiwan. Lunch was served. China Airlines goes above and beyond for their passengers.

Great flight, although I flew out of ONT and that is where my car is, lol

Free Wi-Fi could have been better in the Airport.

3 of the 4 flights had delays despite the weather being fine, but still managed to make all connections

Ask flight attendant for water during flight and she was a little rude get the water.

Baggage made it successfully to destination despite short layover. Appreciate that.

Flight was delay almost 2 hours from Hong Kong to Taipei. Last minute gate change from 24 to 66. Long way walk. We need to run in the Taipei airport to catch our next flight from Taipei to Vancouver. That is so suck!

Excellent staff made the boarding process fast and easy. Friendly crews on both flights from Saigon to Taipei and Taipei to Los Angeles. Will fly China Airlines again.

A regional sized plane was used for a cross country flight with no overhead bin space. I had to "pink check" my laptop and my medications. I was NOT pleased!!!!

Absolutely nothing flight was cancelled and delayed for 2 days. Barely a heads up I want a full refund

The plane from SNA wouldn’t start after 5 tries. The team gave me an option of flying direct from LAX and giving me a Lyft ride there! Perfect!

Best airline! Always friendly and welcoming. Skyclub was great and loved the fast free wifi on board. I also love that you can pre-order your meal on the app!

Atlanta boarding crew at gate were filled with arrogance and were disrespectful. In flight crew showed indifference to the needs of passengers. This is about the flight from ATL to BDL.

The plane was FREEZING SEATS UNCOMFORTABLE Otherwise smooth Thank you

Boarding was chaotic. I didn’t finish dinner because I went to bed early. Breakfast omelet was overcooked and tasteless but croissant was better than usual. Plane was dirty—crumbs in every seam and lavatory was poorly maintained (paint peeling, etc.) and toilet paper had not been refreshed before takeoff. No cubby for storage in first and seat was narrow.

Boarding was somewhat chaotic. Unable to evaluate crew or food/drink because captain kept them seated due to turbulence. Have no idea if entertainment was offered.

West Jet has a horrible boarding process and the seats have no cushion.

Everything went smoothly. I didn’t like that when I booked in the main cabin my wife and I weren’t seated together. One would think when booking on an option that allows picking your seat. They would put you and your travel partner together. Had to call to get it sorted. They did fix.

The overall flight went well and the aircrew was pleasant.

Cathay Pacific seems to be an airline in trouble and on its way out. Lots of broken or poorly functioning things like entertainment screens, seats, and enough well trained staff to handle a full flight. Sad...

The flight crew was exceptionally good. Personal needs were well met. The food choices were very nice.

Excellent. Planes are a little older and could get some refurbishment, but besides that everything was excellent.

I cancelled the flights in good time but could only get a partial refund. I was not warned of this.

Crew experience was more transnational, seats were so close together (LtoR and FtoB) that it was difficult to enjoy much of anything. When the person in front leaned back, there is no space for me. Sadly it was a flight to be endured not experienced.

While I was in great pain, the seat was sufficiently comfortable to allow me to rest and not be in so much pain.

we were upgraded which was a blessing and tender mercy for us. I fell the day before and was in extreme pain from knee to shoulder. Sitting in a more comfortable seat during the flight was an unexpected blessing and experience.

Seats were very comfortable. Crew were excellent. Food very good.

Flight crew was especially thoughtful and attentive, made sure our seats were comfortable so we could rest on the long flight

They canceled the flight on us very close to the flight date .

It took 66 hours to get from Seattle to Tel Aviv. As a minor, I was left for more than 12 hours in Toronto and Frankfurt without hotel and food vouchers. It took 5 layovers. It was insane and not okay

It was delayed but got us to YYZ. I had great copassengers.

Flew SEA-CA, then CA-NRT. First flight was short but very uncomfortable, dirty, and had very small overhead storage space. The seats and fans were not cleaned and had visible dirt on them. Second flight was perfect.

My second flight ended up being through United and it was fine. Again, just frustrating that it was so late.

My experience was pretty frustrating because the first leg of my flight on United (though booked through Air Canada) was delayed causing me to miss my connecting flight on Air Canada. This could have been an easy solve as there was a direct flight later that morning via Air Canada that they easily could have put me on which would have only gotten me to my destination 2 1/2 hours later but because United and Air Canada don’t seem to have good communication they gave me the run around both telling me to talk with the other which I did three times to no avail. I ended up taking the delayed flight and getting on a new connecting flight which ended up getting me to my destination 6 hours later and I missed the event I was planning to go to this evening.

Everything went smoothly and as expected. We were on time and one flight arrived early.

First time flying Air Canada and the trip was very pleasant! They did a great job getting us out of Toronto and into Rome (early!) For an international flight it was very enjoyable.

This is not a Business Class equipped airplane and even the crew apologize before take over BUT BUT Air Canada charged full business class fare

All was good, except our baggage was lost for most of a day. We are thankful that it was found quickly and delivered to our hotel. Rouge was fine outside of that problem.
