Pros:

Yes they were very friendly and helpful. The rates were excellent.

Cons:

Could have had a later closing time on a Sunday. Closed at noon and it was a little crowded at closing. Only one person could rent out vehicles. The other two had yet to be allowed to do so. But overall very pleased with the experience.

The manager was very helpful and patient. He explained and helped during both pick up and drop off while assisting other cusomers too. Very much appreciate it! We wanted a toyota rav but he recommended a newer nissan and we were really happy with how well it served through the tough roads of new mexico and grand canyon parks in arizona.. Thanks!!

I liked the car and the price that I paid for the rental.

Cons:

When I pick up the car they told me that I could request a drop off service to take me back to my work, they even told me about the 5 miles radio policy , then the day I drop off the car I asked for it and they didn't want to take me back to my work place even after I reminded them about our previous conversation, I had to call an uber. My work it's a 4.5 miles, what I didn't like is that they just said they were busy a d dismiss me with out even try to help me.

Pros:

Got what we asked for - a van, preferably the Chrysler Town and Country or Dodge Caravan (it was the Dodge). Vehicle was in okay shape and service was acceptable.

Cons:

The rate changed from what was quoted ($444 for 6 days) to what we were charged ($648), both before tax. I have taken up this issue with Avis customer service. VERY disappointed in that.

We reserved a 7 passenger mini van as we had 7 passengers plus luggage for a family trip. When we arrived we were told no minivans were available (ummm isn’t that the point of a reservation???). We were given an arcadia with a “third row” we had to find out when we went to load up it had 6 seat belts. Called 8 different times and finally was told they would trade us out for a 7 passenger Ford Flex. When we came back to exchange, we were told the flex was gone, but we could have a 7 passenger Chevy, which had enough seat belts and room for luggage... That would have been fine, but he went to ring it up and it had a recall, so wouldn’t let us have it. They also had 3 minivans on site they “couldn’t rent”. We ended up having to squish a 3rd person illegally in the backseat without a seatbelt and terrible ride experience. If you can not honor your rental, don’t take reservations. Completely unacceptable.

I had to pickup a rental on short notice. I found a vehicle using Kayak and I was referred to Hertz car rental. I found a $70 car rental for 2 days and with tax and fees + insurance it ended up being around $160. Once I returned the vehicle at the airport (Dallas Love field), the Hertz staff was quick and very adamant about charging me for damage to the vehicle that was already documented prior to renting the vehicle… I had to repeatedly show him that the damage was documented by Hertz through the pre-vehicle check by another Hertz employee. After a few minutes he finally gave up. But he did make sure to charge me the fuel fee because the tank wasn’t exactly at the same fuel level when rented. I understand to be charged if I were to leave the fuel tank on empty, but after fueling the vehicle and still having to drive to the airport from the gas station I was bound to use the 7 miles, forcing it to be under what I originally picked it up with. I hope Hertz or Kayak can help this frustrating situation. A 2 day $160 rental turned into $211 rather quickly. Very upsetting experience.

EVEN THOUGH I HAD A CONFIRMATION OF MY CAR RENTAL WHICH WAS LOWER THRU KAYAK THAN HERTZ, I ARRIVED TO PICK UP MY CAR AND THEY STATED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY AT THAT LOCATION. THE PERSON AT THE COUNTER CALLED (NOT SURE WHO) AND STATED THAT HERTZ AT ANOTHER LOCATION WOULD RENT THE CAR TO ME ONLY IF I AGREED TO PAY $300 MORE THAN THE ECONOMIC CAR CONFIRMATION. TRULY FRAUD...

I did have to drive far to east plano even though my orginal place i was supposed to pick it up was closed and had to be changed at the last moment but everything was good just wished they would've have called me earlier on or a day before I pick up the instead the day of because I had to rush getting there

Customer service was helpful. However it took asking for a supervisor to assist me. They did compete me for their mistake.

Cons:

We reserved and prepaid for our car a month in advance. Got a call the day before we were supposed to go pickup the car (5 min before they closed for the day) to tell us that they didn’t have a car for us, but to call back tomorrow morning at 8 am. Long story short, after 3 hours of calling and begging we were able to get a car at a different location. I was told to just cancel the reservation and try again. Called the hertz corporate office and spoke to their customer service and a supervisor and they finally found us a car. In the end it worked out but it was a very stressful day We picked up the car at 5pm ( we were supposed to pick it up at 12) and left for our trip.

Every person that I encountered was incredibly polite, efficient and competent . My flight arrived one hour before the Alamo/Enterprise desk opened. I would have loved the ability to pick up my car through a kiosk or something else to avoid a one hour wait for the desk to open.

The customer service isn't exceptional, but it's adequate. This is a respectable car company, one of the few remaining in an industry often marked by dishonesty. The staff were nice and helpful. The car was nice and clean. But we did experience over 40mins of delay before the car became available.

I bought insurance through Kayak. When I picked up the car the SixT agent said we have to put a €1500 hold on your card in case of damage. I never heard of that before. I took the car and after 5 days returned it in the same condition I received it. The SixT agent said all was good and I expected the €1500 hold to be reversed. It’s been more than 24 hours but the hold is still on. Be careful when renting from SixT.

While I had a reservation, I did not rent a cat from SIXT. They were inflexible in working with me to change my reservation (due to airline flight delays.) and ultimately charged my card even though I never arrived for picking up the car ( note I did Not have a Prepaid rate. My reservation was for a Pay on Pickup.)

Despite having a reservation to rent a car for a single day in Puebla, when we showed up we were told there was no car available. Then the man at the front desk said there was a car available but it would be more expensive due to local tax. We were okay with this, but he then said we needed to put down a deposit of $5000 usd, which seemed crazy for just one day. He then changed the deposit amount to $88 usd. The entire interaction felt like he was just making up numbers. It felt very sketchy so we decided to forget renting a car entirely and just traveled via bus…..

I would rent from Fox again but I’d be way more likely to rent from Fox if there was a way to use their car for toll roads on only the days when you’re planning to use it on those roads instead of paying for toll usage for the entire duration of the trip. Having to pay for the entire duration even though I only wanted to use tolls for one day meant that the cost was much higher and the value not really that great.

Pick up seemed okay, I felt I knew more information that I received from online than the employee did. Our vehicle was all beat up on the outside, no floor mats, sticky stuff on the inside. Had good a/c and got us to and from locations which was the main thing. Wished it was cleaner and not so dented prior. Made us nervous we would be charged after. Check out was not so good. Employee checked car in and sent us to get printed receipt which we needed and the employee at the desk had an attitude huffing and puffing as if we were annoying her by asking for our closing receipt. Not very personable on the trips to and from airport on shuttle but each trip they did help load and load luggage and opened doors.

Overall, this was a horrible experience renting through Ace. I made a reservation while on vacation with my family. Once I arriving I was advised that my reservation had expired because I was 4 hours late. I explained to the representative that I call after noticing my pickup was at noon, but my flight arrived at seven. I was told it wouldn't be a problem. The representative told me that the customer service team I called is not connected to their center. He said it's nothing he can do and sat down. I Uber to the hotel and rented from Buget then next day. Horrible customer service!

The email from Easirent with information about my car rental listed Charlotte as the airport instead of Las Vegas which caused me unnecessary confusion and concern. When I tried calling the phone number listed, I was connected to an international agency with an automated message saying they were closed. The email from Easirent also did not explain that we would be taking two separate shuttles to get to the rental center causing further confusion. It was not communicated that Easirent was offsite.

I booked a car in advance and arrived on time. There was only two customers in line also waiting for cars, but the staff said they were “trying to find enough cars”, and then the desk staff had to personally clean the only car that was available. When it was my turn at the desk, they told me my only option was to accept a car with a cracked windshield. I ended up having to leave (after waiting an hour) to rent a car from a different company.
